Chocolate and Decor

I really, really enjoy dark chocolate. Don't offer milk or white chocolate to me because I don't want to seem ungrateful or snobby, but I plain don't like it.   Just a few years ago people HATED brown in decor, then smart marketing experts started calling brown, Chocolate Mousse, Mocha Cocoa and Swiss Chocolate.  Problem solved.  Chocolate goes with cool or warm-toned colors.   Do you have any chocolate in your decor?  The teapot is a great example of chocolate brown with blue.  The bedding below could have been inspired by this dessert in caramel, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate!    Now if you'll excuse me while I have an ooey-gooey dark chocolate "fit!"

Morning sweetie! My problem is that I adore all kinds of chocolate, even peppermint bark made with very dark chocolate for breakfast!

I love to add touches of cocoa to trims or ceilings and talk about adding an anchor to a room.. just toss in some brownie color items and poof.. it makes the room sing! Like everyone should after having a brownie.

Enjoy your day
with love,

Olivia

Oh yeah. Got chocolate here. And none of that wimpy milk chocolate either. Deep dark yummy chocolate in the bedroom and master bath. Luckily there's no calories in comforters or showercurtains.

Chocolate is HEAVENLY! Especially DARK chocolate. It's my fave, too. I love it with coconut, caramel, or just plain ol' dark chocolate is fine, too. I'm not picky. ;)

As for chocolate in my decor, I can't think of ANY! I love browns but when we built this house I was just so into brights and deep reds taht I never thought of browns. Perhaps I should do something about that....

Chocolate colors are going to be central to decorating in our new cottage! So I am glad that it is now in style.

I won't turn down any kind of chocolate, but dark is my favorite!

Dark chocolate for me too, but I'm not at all fond of chocolate in a room, on the bed on the walls etc. It reminds me too much of a hotel, and I spend too much timein those to want the decor at home.

I lurve dark chocolate. So much so that my husband knows that's the only candy I like for holidays. My bedspread is ivory with a brown toile print on it and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it at Target. I couldn't stop thinking about it. It makes me happy every time I walk into my bedroom!

Hi Janean,

We recently painted our powder room a deep dark chocolate brown. The room has high ceilings with a mirror over the pedestal sink that goes to the ceiling and the chocolate brown is the most beautiful back drop. I love it so much, I'm thinking of using the same color in our bedroom and keeping all of the bedding shades of white.

We have brown leather furniture but I haven't really decorated with Chocolate in this house. We do plan to do a Chocolate colored wall in my husbands office. I am not a fan of dark chocolate but my husband is. I do love milk and white. When we first got married our very first bathroom was done in those colors: brown/blue It was so beautiful and my sister had her bridesmaid dresses, very silky, in those same colors. They were stunning. (we didn't call it chocolate but it was)

I too love dark chocolate, 70% cocoa or more is just right. No chocolate decore on my house but i am thinking of making cushions, it will go quite nicely with the cream of the walls. Thanks for the inspiration.

but Guess what I have to have splashes of soft blues and purple..and believe this even red -- gotta find that just right color of barn right -- I know I am hooked a finding a farm - wink! Lol...
