Gone Sour?

Lemons can be so sour. Add a little sugar and they're delightfully sweet! It's the same with decor. Yellow can resemble a bad boiled egg yolk or sweet lemon curd! Speaking of curd, below is a very easy and simple recipe. Do you like lemons to eat or in your decor?  They seem to be everywhere.

Easy Microwave Lemon Curd
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 cup fresh lemon juice
3 lemons, zested
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until smooth. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest and butter. Cook in the microwave for one minute intervals, stirring after each minute until the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon. Remove from the microwave, and pour into small sterile jars. Store for up to three weeks in the refrigerator.

Janean,
Love yellow, so love the lemons. We used to comb lemon juice through our hair, so it would lighten in the sun. Then we were introduced to the ever popular "Sun In." Remember???
Have a good one, girl.

I love the smell of lemons. A LONG time ago the company LOVE put out a spray mist with a Lemon scent. I used to love to spray that on and smell it just for myself. Unfortunately it is no longer made.
The smell of lemons is just awesome. They make sweet-tea taste wonderful.
A Lemon Meringue or Lemon Chess pie is out of this world. And lemon sours are yummy. When I was little, my dad always had a tin of these sugared lemon hard candies in his office, and we would sneak in and get some from him...
Lemon squeezed over a dinner of baked or grilled fish...mmmmmmm
And I love Krispy Kreme lemon filled doughnuts!!!
Spent Lemon slices being ground in the disposal smell so nice at the sink. oh...and on and on.
Yes! I love lemons, and nothing like an iced pitcher of homemade lemonade in the summertime!!! HUGS Janean!

Yummm...love lemon curd. That looks like a great easy recipe. Love some on scones.
My kitchen is decorated with lemons, so I loved all your images. That purse looks so soft.
Thanks for taking the time to bring such great pictures and subjects to your posts. I look forward everyday to see what you have to share.

Yes to both! Years ago I had (well, I still have the bowl but rarely use it) that is clear with a cobalt blue pedestal, and I kept lemons in that bowl with some faux lemon leaves. It was a gorgeouse centerpiece for my table. B.

Oh now you've done it! You've made me have a sudden hankering for lemon curd! I adore that stuff!

We got a lemon lip balm in Arizona a couple of years ago, and it was the most fun lip balm EVER. Wish I could find some like it in TN!

Look how many people love lemons? I do too. I squeeze lemon in my tea and in my water. And I love lemonade, the more sour the better. I use some in just about any chicken or fish dish I make. I use it to bleach out stains in laundry. I use it to freshen the garbage disposal (just like Julie) and microwave. Lemon pie, lemon cake, lemon curd... If it's lemony I love it!

My love of lemons is a gift from my grandmother. She used to put lemon zest and flavoring in her cookies, as she did this she always "put a little on" as a scent.

Lemons in my food
Lemons in the air
Lemons in my decor!

I love Lemons ~ Maria
